Earlier the basic necessities for were Food, Cloths, and Shelter but nowadays the necessities are evolved to Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.If you don't know what these are then you are in the safe side but if you are among those who spend their most of the time in these kinds of social platforms then you should definitely read this article up to end. Teens now spend up to nine hours a day on social platforms, while 30% of all time spent online is now allocated to social media interaction. And the majority of that time is on mobile - 60% of social media time spent is facilitated by a mobile device. They spent hours of their evenings, journies, lunchtimes, playing times, e.t.c. hopping from one app to another, cruising for attention in the form of comments and likes the cycle of Instagram, Facebook, and  WhatsApp continues for hours. This is like an addiction, many people believe that social media addiction is a process addiction that is similar to gambling. Though social media has its many benefits and uses but there are plenty of social media problems that is affecting us But let me make this clear; social media is a great place your views and meet new people. Besides many other advantages. However, it can at the time do more harm than good. I HOPE YOU WILL AGREE TOO

I am not negative about social media; in fact, I use it immensely on a daily basis. However, let's face the fact and accept its drawbacks

  • Getting addicted to Social Media
  • Dependence on online friends 
  • Spend their valuable time on Social media
  • Reducing attention towards other things which are important.
  • Seeking validation
  • Relation issues on or due to social media
  • Disturbing privacy issues
  • Getting robbed on social media
  • The dangers of cyber crimes and bullying
  • Negative impacts on academics.
  • Health issues
  • Wasting time playing games
Now we know that these are the problems that a person may have in his life but how this can be avoided?, How to use less time on social media?  use less time on social media from starting, limit daily usage. Now we will talk about some remedies that can help you to get out from this addiction
  • first of all turn off that notifications from the social media 
  • Don't make your mobile phone your alarm clock
  • have some time away from the tech
  • find how much time you are wasting then try to reduce it
  • put yourself on a proper schedule
  • Use apps to block the facebook and other kinds of distractions
  • Keep a diary.
If you are a parent, see that your child doesn't spend too much time on social media. If he/she is spending time on that make sure they don't get in any kind of trouble.
